The next class from Woodlands had an amazing day, travelling from Formby to Southport with Community Rail Lancashire, Merseyrail and Merseytravel.

The children had a fantastic safety talk with officers from the British Transport Police, spotting safety features and unsafe behaviour on their railway models.

Like the previous class, the children also learned all about the history of Southport and how important the railway was to the town. We were amazed to learn about Napoleon living here!

All the children from Woodlands classes were also given special Merseyrail hats, activity books and cakes. What a great day!
